- Greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming, positive first impression
- Seat guests efficiently, taking into account table rotation, guest needs, and server balance
- Provide menus and inform guests of current promotions or specials
- Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, providing accurate wait times when appropriate
- Communicate guest needs and requests clearly to servers, bussers, and management to ensure seamless service
- Operate the POS system for takeout orders or payment processing as needed
- Anticipate guest needs and assist in creating a smooth, enjoyable experience for every visit
- Complete opening, side work, and closing duties to ensure restaurant is fully prepared for service
- Maintain all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in accordance with Health Department and restaurant guidelines
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have or be able to obtain ABC Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) and California Food Handler Certification
- Previous restaurant hosting or serving experience preferred
- Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
